The annual ceremony recognized excellence across 14 award categories, with gold, silver, and bronze honors determined by a distinguished panel of 17 judges representing diverse backgrounds in journalism, agriculture, and communications from across Canada and the United States.
Notable award recipients included Trevor Bacque, who received Farm Writer of the Year and Story of the Year for “Just Do It” in GrainsWest magazine, and Janelle Rudolph, who received The David Schmidt Award for New Writer of the Year.
The three-day conference and awards celebration brought together agricultural communicators from CFWF’s six regional associations spanning Atlantic Canada, Eastern Canada, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia.
